Legal Counsel

SNC is hiring a Legal Counsel to support the legal, corporate and compliance needs of the organization.

This is a full-time job out of our Tel Aviv office in the legal department.

The candidate should be a team player who is able to work with different departments and management levels focusing on solving business and legal problems.

Responsibilities

Reporting to SNC’s Director of Legal Affairs, the Legal Counsel will contribute to all aspects of SNC’s legal, corporate and compliance administration, including:

Legal

  • Performing corporate legal work.
  • Providing the organization’s various departments (Finance, Marketing & Comms, Business, Product, HR, Operations, etc. (with legal support and advice on a wide variety of matters.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements, including services agreements, licensing, NDAs, collaboration agreements, employment agreement, MOUs etc.
  • Identifying and addressing legal risks and opportunities; researching and evaluating different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.

Governance and Compliance

  •  Assisting in the design and day-to-day implementation of corporate compliance and internal policies.

Requirements

  • LLB degree, graduate of a leading university or college, and a member of the Israel Bar Association – a must.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a commercial/corporate department of a leading law firm.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Fluent in both English and Hebrew (verbal and written communication), including proven experience in drafting legal documents in English.
  • Service-oriented, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines, while effectively prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in an independent and dedicated manner.
  • Knowledge of Israel’s labor law and of issues relating to intellectual property; familiarity/expertise with privacy and data protection laws – an advantage.
  • Familiarity with the nonprofit sector.
