The third part of the special podcast series explores how life in Israel returned to normal following the global pandemic
Start-Up Nation Central delivers episode 3 of our special Israel vs. Covid series of the DisrupTALK Podcast.
After the first two episodes covered the country’s initial reaction to the outbreak and its world-leading vaccination campaign, in the third episode, titled “Back to Normal,” we took to the streets and marketplaces, visited synagogues churches, and mosques, music concerts, and literary festivals, the Western Wall in Jerusalem and the beach in Tel Aviv – to hear what going back to normal after more than a year of lockdowns actually sounds like.
In case you missed it, the first part of the series titled “On The Defense” tells the story of Israel’s initial reaction to the pandemic, which was characterized by good intentions and unprecedented collaborations, but also logistical chaos. The second episode, titled “On the Attack & Vaccine Roll-Out” examined how Israel transitioned from defense to offense with an unprecedented inoculation drive that stunned even the drug manufacturers themselves. We also heard from Tal Zaks, Moderna’s Israeli-born Chief Science Officer, who explained why the vaccine’s significance may prove to be much more than just a cure for Covid-19.
