Tel Aviv, Israel – July 5th, 2021: Start-Up Nation Central is proud to announce that it has been chosen to receive the 2021 Yigal Allon Prize for pioneering excellence.

The Yigal Allon’s prize has been awarded annually, since 1982, to individuals, entities, or organizations whose work or actions serve as a model of pioneering excellence, and contribution to Israeli society. Start-Up Nation Central will be sharing this year’s prize with Prof. Moshe Shoham, from the Technion – Israel Technology Institute, known as the godfather of the Israeli robotics industry.

The prize committee made up of journalist Tali Lipkin Shahak, former IAF pilot and commander Brig.-Gen. (Res) Ra’anan Rani Falk, Brig.-Gen. (Res) Udi Orenstein and Retired IDF Maj.-Gen. Noam Tibon congratulated this year’s winners. “We are proud to award this year’s Yigal Allon Prize to the winners in light of their blessed work in promoting innovation in industry,” said committee head Noam Tibon.

Start-Up Nation Central is the address for corporations, governments, and investors to connect with the Israeli tech ecosystem. Those tools serve Israel to this day as it employs the world’s most advanced technologies to become a global solution hub, ensuring the long-term success of the country and its people,” said Start-Up Nation Central’s Acting CEO Chico Menashe.

The Yigal Allon Prize is bestowed by the Palmach Generation Organization to commemorate the Israeli general, politician, and pioneer who commanded the legendary pre-independence military group. Winners are chosen annually and have included former director of the Mossad Meir Amit, former Haifa Mayor Amram Mitzna, Sheba Medical Center, and social activist Ruth Dayan for their pioneering actions and contributions to the State of Israel.
