Tzafon Medical Center and Startup Nation Central in Strategic Partnership to Promote Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Healthcare in Northern Israel 

June 28, 2024: Tzafon Medical Center (Poriya) and Startup Nation Central signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) last week to boost northern Israel’s healthcare innovation and economic development. This partnership aims to position Tzafon Medical Center as a regional leader in health tech innovation and entrepreneurship.

Through this collaboration, Tzafon Medical Center will develop its infrastructure to support in-house and external healthcare technologies, enhance clinical research capabilities by forming global partnerships, and promote health tech entrepreneurship among medical professionals.  Startup Nation Central will provide Tzafon Medical Center with knowledge and capabilities pertaining to managing and implementing innovation processes, creating global partnerships, training medical staff in innovation, and connecting to the health tech innovation ecosystem in Israel and worldwide.

As part of this collaboration, special emphasis will be placed on rehabilitation. This coincides with the upcoming opening of the Helmsley Rehabilitation Center at Tzafon Medical Center, the first and only rehabilitation center located in northern Israel.

The Helmsley Rehabilitation Center is poised to become a significant driver of regional growth, employing hundreds of medical personnel and serving as a hub for academia, research, and development. Rehabilitation is a critical discipline not only for Israel, particularly considering the rehabilitation needs due to the war, but also globally, with significant advancements occurring across various fields.
