RISE WITH US is a unique program that helps entrepreneurs and startups based in Israel successfully enter the American healthcare market. Opening its second cohort, the program will focus on digital and computational health solutions, and ventures based on AI, computational systems, and big data.

We at Start-Up Nation Central are pleased to collaborate with Assuta, a leading partner in health tech related activities, and together strengthen Israel’s tech health sector vis-à-vis the world.”

Daniel Rabina, the program’s manager and Director of Innovation and Venture Development at Assuta: “The purpose of our program is to grant startups with information and knowledge on their target market before their product development phase is complete. This aims to answer the growing demand from young companies to quickly prove the need and potential of their technology.”

Less than a year ago, Assuta Medical Centers launched the program through its innovation arm, RISE, in collaboration with University City Science Center in Philadelphia. The first cohort, operating during 2022, saw more than 100 startups and companies submit candidacy. Of these, six were selected to participate the program.

The program is supported by AWS and Nvidia, as well the Venture Capital funds of LionBird and eHealth Ventures. The program partners provide participants with access to an extensive network of contacts in Israel and the USA and to deep industry knowledge.

The second cohort is scheduled to begin on June 26 and run for four weeks. During the program, participants will receive mentoring tailored to the global health market, with an emphasis on the USA. Participants will also receive feedback from a team of clinical, business, and technological professionals on how to adjust their product to the market. The cohort will also meet with potential investors, clients and partners in Israel and abroad. Registration to the cohort closes on April 23rd, 2023.

Specific areas where participants will receive guidance include solutions commercialization and implementation for health systems, regulatory compliance, scalable solution design and more.

RISE WITH US participants will also gain access to Assuta Medical Centers and clinical oversight from leading physicians in relevant fields. Participants will likewise be able to access University City Science Center’s extensive network of connections forged by 50 years of experience. Participants will also gain direct access to US hospitals, the American Seed Capital Association, insurers, and leading Philadelphia area academic centers (Pennsylvania State, Princeton, etc.).

Start-Up Nation Central will empower the program’s global aspects during and after the program and will share relevant professional content curated for the program’s participating companies.

The program will take place at Assuta and Start-Up Nation Central’s offices in a hybrid format, mixing virtual and frontal meetings across three intensive weeks of activity. The program culminates in fourth and final week when the cohort will have the opportunity to fly to the US and engage directly with the American market.

The first cohort included six companies that reported that the program was extremely beneficial and contributed to their understanding of the American market, pivot generation to their business model, and optimizing their time and resources allocation, which are all crucial for a young company’s success.

The first cohort included Acculine, with preemptive technology to prevent heart attacks; IdentifAI Genetics that identifies genetic diseases in fetuses through a non-invasive procedure; Senseera, developing early cancer detection technology using a blood test; Wotch Health, a product automating actions of a medical assistant for family doctors and their patients; Epilog, which utilizes AI-based tools for supporting end-of-life decisions; and ScintiumDX, a unique information search engine for physicians based on medical imaging.
